Permanent Makeup Safety Guidance, Jacksonville Cosmetic Surgery Blog

Written by Deanna Denatale,  Certified permanent makeup technician and licensed aesthetician

We advise our patients in Jacksonville, Jacksonville Beach and Ponte Vedra to place their safety as their top criteria in choosing the right technician to perform their permanent makeup.  Florida Law requires certified permanent makeup technicians not cosmetology, skin care, nail technicians be supervised by a licensed Medical doctor.

You can check your permanent makeup technician’s credentials by calling the Jacksonville License and Business Regulation of occupational licensing at (904) 630-1916 or Jacksonville Health Department at (904) 253-1280 (my preference).

Meeting with and interaction between patient and technician are of great importance. Your permanent makeup technician should have an assortment of colors to blend with your skin type. You should both agree on colors used together. Color correction from previous work requires specialized skills. Your permanent makeup technician should have ample experience and an adequate assortment of colors in her portfolio.  Your initial visit will typically last 2 to 3 hours. After your initial visit, at our Jacksonville Cosmetic Surgery Center, we advise a follow up visit within 4 to 6 weeks to enhance color and shape of the permanent makeup on eyebrows, eyelids and eight weeks for lips. The completion of the all your permanent makeup work will take less than 12 weeks. Some procedures use more advanced techniques (Para-medical) and require a permanent makeup technician with advanced training.

In Jacksonville, Breast Augmentation Trumps Liposuction

For the second year in a row, Jacksonville, breast augmentation beat liposuction as the most popular plastic surgery procedure – no surprise in a region known for its beautiful beaches and sunny climate. According to statistics compiled by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Liposuction had been the top choice nationwide for 12 years until 2008. Many cosmetic surgeons credit the surge in the demand for breast augmentation in Jacksonville and elsewhere to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s 2006 decision to lift the ban on silicone breast implants for cosmetic use. Others point to changes in fashion styles, including décolletage-baring looks as a contributing factor.

When it comes to breast augmentation, Dr. A.H. Nezami, founder of Jacksonville Cosmetic Surgery Center is highly regarded and eminently qualified. Dr. Nezami is known in Jacksonville and Ponte Vedra community for providing the most natural looking result. A board certified plastic surgeon practicing in Jacksonville since 1981, Dr. Nezami is recognized among Jacksonville’s and the nation’s best by Castle Connolly Medical and the Consumer Research council of America. His years of experience and scores of clients who are deeply satisfied with their new looks have placed him among the most sought-after plastic surgeons performing breast augmentations in Jacksonville.

Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) and Liposuction Differences. Jacksonville Cosmetic Surgery Blog

Written by A.H. Nezami, MD of Jacksonville Cosmetic Surgery Center for our patient in Jacksonville, Jacksonville Beaches and Ponte Vedra.

Dr. A.H. Nezami is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with 29 years of experience in private practice of plastic and cosmetic surgery in Jacksonville, in addition to his extensive training in general surgery and plastic surgery. He believes a well-informed patient and experienced plastic surgeon are prerequisite for successful outcomes of cosmetic surgery and a very happy patient.

It is common for patients from Jacksonville, Ponte Vedra to come to see us on consultation for liposuction, when in fact the Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) is the procedure they need, because they have excess skin and fat, poor skin elasticity and weakened abdominal wall muscles. Sometimes the reverse happens, we see patients for  a tummy tuck, when they just need liposuction to remove the excess localized abdominal fat. This brought us to write “Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) and Liposuction Differences. Jacksonville Cosmetic Surgery Blog” for our patient fromJacksonville, Jacksonville Beaches, Ponte Vedra and from around the world.
