Candidates for laser Hair Removal
Laser will work best for people that have darker and thicker hair. Laser is not effective for light color hair. We advise our patient in Jacksonville and Jacksonville Beach that have blonde or red hair, to use electrolysis for removing their unwanted hair. Laser work better on coarse hair than fine hair.
Very few laser machines are effective and safe for people with darker skin pigmentation.

Preparing for your Laser Hair Removal Treatment
We advise our tanned patients in Jacksonville and Jacksonville Beach to wait until their tan is faded before starting the treatment. In order to reach the best results, we advise our patients to discontinue taking food high in Beta- Carotene such as carrots, at least a month prior to their laser hair removal treatment. Beta- Carotene absorb laser energy and prevent it to reach the hair follicle.
Multiple Treatment are needed for Laser Hair Removal
Human hair grows in three stages of development. Hairs respond to laser treatment only in one stage called anagen stage, which is the first stage of growth. At any time only one third of human hair is in the anagen stage. For this reasons you need at least three to four treatments. Some people might need few additional treatments. The pigment in the hair follicle absorbs the laser light and converts the light to heat. The heat damages the follicle and
destroys its ability to grow or will grow a thinner hair.
Is laser Hair Removal Painful?
Laser hair removal treated with Lyra has minimum pain, it feels like a mild sting for a fraction of second.
What kind of Results can I expect from Laser Hair Removal Treatment?
